About the Founder of Inspiration Unlimited
Sheree Stomberg
Two days after retiring from her role as a global business leader at Citi, where she successfully led and inspired more than 100,000 people, Sheree Stomberg joined an expedition of men half her age to climb a mountain adjacent to Mt. Everest. At 68, after training at Everest Base Camp, she successfully reached the 20,000 foot mark. She proved that vitality, resilience, and purpose know no boundaries.
That climb marked the first step in fulfilling her long-held vision: to design a purposeful "fourth quarter" of life that inspires others at any age to dream boldly, set meaningful goals, and take action toward living with joy and vitality.

Sheree's Inspiration
In this photo, we see Sheree's father, Philip Stomberg, 87, gardening with her daughter. In the upper right corner of the photograph, you can see the beautiful tree house he built for his grandchildren when he was in his eighties. But behind this charming image is an incredible story. It all started after Philip retired at the age of 79. He was living alone and began spiraling into a deep depression. Sheree was a rising global executive with two young children and a busy husband. They had just purchased a "fixer-upper" second home in Massachusetts. Sheree found herself facing the need to manage her role at a global financial institution while pursuing the house renovations and raising an active, young family. Now, she faced the additional challenge of making sure her beloved father would be OK. Sheree had an idea. She called her dad and asked if he would travel from Texas to Massachusetts to oversee the renovation of the house on a full-time basis. The very next day, Phillip was on a plane. Little did Sheree know that in that moment, she had given him the purpose he needed to lift him out of depression without the help of drugs or therapy. Sheree watched incredulously as the project transformed him overnight into the vibrant father she remembered and so dearly missed. He had transformed back into the man who gardened, charmed everyone he met and baked banana bread for the family. Philip would go on to enjoy his precious grandchildren through the lens of renewed purpose for another decade.
